There is this colleague who is really deep. She appears very friendly and very nice, but is capable of stabbing people at the back.

Her partner in her team, did something bad, which she keep telling everybody, she can't tell us. Then she went to tell the Boss..... Double face .....

Traffic Accidents involving Taxis

Heard over the radio that there were 3 traffic accidents involving taxi over last week. That reminds me of the minor horrible experiences I have during a taxi ride:

1) First happened at night, which I was going home and travelling along TPE, as there was little traffic, the taxi driver was going at 120km/h and he even put one of his leg up. If there is an emergency, how can he have enough reaction time to put down his leg to stop the taxi in time?

2) Second time, JY and I were on our way home from Singapore Expo, the taxi stopped at the traffic light, the moment the traffic light turns green, he didn't even look up to check if the van in front has moved, he just step on the cluth and the accelelator and *BUMP* hit the van in front. He still got the cheek to ask for the taxi fare from JY........

Horrible experiences, that's y take taxi only when absolutely necessary.

That day I went to subway for lunch, so left with 2 cookies, so I brought to my Sister-in-law's place for Baby Cass. After going one round, there wasn't much left, so I decided to keep for JY.

I told Baby Cass :"Later Papa come back, CANNOT tell him got cookies okie? [She nodded her head] All is for JY okie? [She nodded again]

When her Papa came back, the first thing she SHOUTED :"Papa, u don't have pumpkin, JY have." She can't pronounce cookie, so it became pumpkin......

Conclusion, Babies can't keep secret......

Dengue Episode

9th Aug is Sigapore's 42nd National Day, almost the entire nation is out there celebrating and merrying. But I am lying on my bed for the whole day, without a drop of food, cause I am down with a 38.7 degree C fever :-(

The Dr thinks it is just some viral infection, and gave me some antibiotics and MC to rest at home. It is a really horrible period, with no appipete and a persistent fever. Who's knows the worst has yet to come....

13th Aug - I developed rashes, and JY rushed me to TTSH A&E. And it was confirmed. My platelets number is dwindling, I got dengue!!!!!! What's follows is NO antibiotics and more vitamins and minerals. With my four limbs red and swollen like trotters, it is really terrible.....

16th Aug - Went to CDC to check up, my platelets number has increased but will not be back to normal. So DR discharged me, and I got to be carefull for my whole life, not to be bitten again. If not, I won't be so lucky the 2nd time.

So that's y I disappearred for soooooo long, and no updates, hibernating to recover. And I have not been working :( Think work is so much more simpler than falling sick..... I rather be working.......

Generation Gap

This term is so broad and the person who came up with this term must be an Asian. I have not heard 'lao wai' using this term. Perhaps it is only in Asian countries, where our older generation are so conservative, and to a certain extend, unwilling to change their mindset to keep up with times.

Perhaps up till a certain age, it is really comfortable to stick to what you have been doing for over the twenty, thirty or even fourty years, but come on, don't banish the younger generation. Listen to us, and oh please, some people don't grow wiser when they grow older. And we, the younger generation, can be serious and not all play play play.

Give us some credit.........

Baby Cass is getting clever..... Was teaching her about the different kinds of cars, and I shown her on the book, that yellow car is mine (jokingly), and she said the fire engine is hers :-)

Then went to botantic garden with her and the family, and then to King Albert Park McDonalds. In the carpark, there was a yellow car opposite ours. Baby Cass said:"Jiu-mu, your car over there." I couldn't stop laughing, it was a yellow mini :-) Baby Cass got good taste!

Pondering about this .... When give birth, parents have to fork out thousands for hospitalisation and etc. When the demise of a love one, the children will have to fork out ten of thousands to pay for the funeral, wake and etc.... Isn't it a Karmic cycle?

This morning while walking to work, I witness something that sets me thinking.... There is this tropical squarrel which dropped onto the road, and a car brake in time before hitting it. But this sudden brake, nearly caused an accident. Luckily the car behind braked in time too.

In all over the world, drivers are advised to drive carefully and avoid hitting the wild life, but because of this, how many car accidents resulted from this? Saving of wild life, but what about humans?

For my friends who drive, please do not tail gate.

*Sigh* So bored today....... We are nearing the end of our busy period, plus the fact that Boss is not around for the whole day, so I have been visiting the blogs a lot of times, but how come no updates from anyone???? Downloaded Zachery's photo and put as wallpaper in my computer :-p the one with the naughty hat......

*Sigh* So I update something :-) Melia wants to pass the cake to me in office, which I object wholeheartly.
1st it is troublesome to bring home as I can imagine the box is not small (defination of small is a size which is able to squeeze into my handbag);
2nd if my colleagues see it, it will be an obligation to open and share with them (which I WILL NOT do it).
Lastly, it will take too much effort for me to get my butt out of the chair and go down 3 levels to collect the cake, then go up 3 levels again, and wait for office to be over, then go home.

Summary.... It is Monday Blue................ When is Melia going to call me? *Sigh*

Well, it is a lazy sunday.... After working... We went to Fish & Co to settle dinner :-)

Well, time for new menu, they are selling pasta and pizza. Got a wasabi pizza, not sure if anyone will order that. I tried one of thenew dish, Baked Ginza Salmon. It is already baked salmon with fried white and black sesame seeds. Very fragant and well, you can't go too wrong with baked salmon.

And desert is hot chocolate fudge cake. Yummy :-) And it is cheap, only $5.90

A sign that I am aging though my face don't reflect it :-). Went for a TCM full body massage yesterday. Oh my goodness, the verdict is my body is aging.... Must be careful already ......

Botanic Garden

Visited Botanic Garden today, it has been a very very long time since I last went there. A lot of changes have been made. We had pinic brunch, as my sister-in-law was late, as usual, and there were A LOT of ants ...... Errrrrr my poor feet.... And it is soooooooooooo warm..... Overall, still enjoy the trip.

Our dear baby Cass created a few jokes, as usual, which brightens our day. Here's one: We have settled down on the pinic map and were all happily eating our brunch, when there is a passer-by with a dog, the dog came very close to Baby Cass, and we thought she would be afraid. Guess what? The 1st thing she did was to pick up her shoes, and look into the dog and said (her exact words): "Doggie, don't bite my shoes." Some of us nearly spilled our drinks.

I went to the Swan Lake, and there is a pair beautiful swans, which stick together wherever they swim to (jus like my darling and me :-P)

Later, I realised why they didn't escaped though there isn't any confinement, one of the swans wing is injured. Poor swan! And my guess is the other one also didn't escape, to accompany the injured one. So sweet :-)

This week really a failure.... Wanted to lose weight, but in the end, end up eating more :-(

Tuesday, met up with friends, cause one of them flying off to Australia, and advance celebration for April Birthday Gals. We went to Sakura to eat..... Personally, I think the standard dropped. Last year, got more variety. A bit disappointed.

Then the next day, Wednesday, went to Ku-shin Bo at Sunteccto eat... with colleagues. Wow..... I am impressed, by the authentic japanese cusine. And I really eat to my heart's content for that night. Jus imagine, unlimited supply of sashimi and Hokaido crab ..... Oh my!!!! How to stop eating???? Best of all, the macha ice cream, yummmy :-) We stayed there for 2 whole hours, and there were still people streaming in at 8pm.... A look at the crowd and the queeue, you can imagine how popular the place is. Luckily, we have reserved a table :-) So there is no need to wait.

Of course, to fufil my new year resolution, I jogged on Thursday :-) Intensity of the exercise is jus enough to burn off the Sakura one I guess :-p

V Day

Had a fun V Day yesterday. One of my colleague, who was newly married, was angried with her husband, as he bought her flowers. She claimed it was a waste of money. Well, some pple jus don't know how lucky they were.

Attended JY's colleague's wedding and it was in Grand Hyatt, and it is at the Garden, and Al Fresco setting. :-) Very cosy, very small wedding dinner. And as I was wearing red, I got a FREE rose from the groom. So sweet of them.

And guess what? I am blogging from the office :-)

Injured finger

Wow..... Finally yesterday was the last day out of that place :-) Very happy! Today I woke up at 6am to jog :-) Time to lose the weight which I have gained. Was looking at the 2006 photos, realised I put on a lot of weight :-(

I went to the market too, yup, to do marketing :-) Got to cook a nice dinner for JY, if not, not justifiable for my break :-)

3 Jan 2007 : A turning point of my life

On 3 Jan 2007, 5.30pm, my colleague and I did something, which we have been planning for ages, and prayed for. We walked up to the board room, where the manager was having meeting, and tendered our resignations to her personnaly.

Yipeee.... I am Free!!!! 2007 is going to be a nice good year, because I am going back to education sector, not as a teacher, but admin. This 1 year and 8 months of torment in Health Care sector is enough! No longer am I going to be under that stupid b##$@@ and no way is that stupid cc going to boss his way around me.

I felt so light and happy after that. Though the manager was very SHOCKED to c 2 of us tendered at the same time. Her only response was TWO??? And a nod, that's it.

Life is going to be beautiful :-)

Quality Time

A friend of me is disturbed by the fact that she has not seen her bf for 3 weeks. That leads me to think.... When was the time I have not seen JY for more than a week? Though I am seeing him every day (only morning and night in the weekdays), am I spending enough time with him?

Topic of children came up again, when I went to visit one of my aunties who was hospitalised. Children? Sorry, I am still a child myself, am I really capable of taking care of one? And do I really have the time to take care of one? Will I be committed enough to take care of one?

If now, I hardly have time for JY, where can I find time to take care of a child?

Above are strictly my own views.

Yesterday, we jus had jocelyn's hen party, the last in this year. Quite a lot of jokes, and well, we will be too busy to even meet for supper till after her wedding. Cause now, have to treat her like a princess.... And a demanding princess:

It has been a great day..... Wonderful start, where all the sisters are punctual. Only the groom is late :-p Blame on the traffic jam. And he's very co-operative, can u imagine??? Mark being co-operative???? And you know what? He did every single thing we ask him to eat/do.... without a protest.... Sooooo Sweet.... And we declare him a part of our sister from that day onwards....

Such a boring sunday..... Spent my day cleaning the house, and tidying the place, cause my mother-in-law coming back next tuesday. So better keep the place clean, to spare my darling from nagging.

This week, is bad. Gotten bullied by the new guy. He's very good with office politics, that he really can twisted the facts. Anyway, can't be bothered. Set my mind to jump :-) Hopefully to a better one, of course.

Just had a nice outing with rabbit they all, to plan for rabbit's hen party and on the wedding day. Hahaahaa... Felt a bit funny to be a sister after my marriage, cause I don't need to hold back...... Beware, Mr Leow. :-p

Anyway, good news from Australia, I just sms-ed everybody in the group cause I figured they haven't checked their e-mail, and sorry, won't tell u what's it, cause it is better to hear (read) from the horse's mouth.

This good news lighten my mood and hey, it is a nice holiday afterall :-)

I am back! And boy, how much I miss home.

Summary of Macau Trip

Macau is really a place with a lot of history, it is written in every street and buildings, and of course in all the travel brochure. And it is a 1st Portugese colonial I have visited. The street names and all are all so foreign, I can only make out the alaphabets but not the words :-p So we basically remember the buildings and landmarks and find our way around. Find that food here is much nicer and cheaper than HK and one thing is definite, the air is MUCH MUCH cleaner than HK.

Summary of HK Trip

It is too commericalised. Air pollution caused the country to be enveloped by 'haze', and the local has a nice name for it, 'yan xia'. Well, to me, it is not a good thing at all, and the funny thing is there is a TV advert blaming the air pollution entirely to smoking. Even when we went all the way to the Lantau Island and the peak, the polluted air could be seen everywhere.

Shopping is plentiful till don't know what to buy, and no $$$ to buy too. Cause the food and transportation in HK is so expensive. The houses there are really like those back home, except it is very cram and packed. All of them have lock outside the staircase and lift, which I thought is a pretty good idea to keep the outsiders at bay.

Didn't really enjoy myself, as the days go by, my appetite goes down, think it is the food and the pollution, really looking forward going home

I must have woke up the wrong side of the bed today. First thing in the morning, changes in Thailand politics, oh my martial law through the state. Second thing, mummy called to deliver the emperor decree, CANNOT go to Bangkok. To make matter worst, I am feeling feverish from yesterday's flu vaccination.

What can be worst?

Now got to monitor Thailand's situation and do my sums, on how much I am going to lose if I cancel my hotel and my flight. :-(

I guess I am human after all... Laziness and taking short cuts are easy ways out, and being a normal homo sapien, I would do that too.... I have NOT been cleaning my house for a week.... My mum will scream if she knows that. And jus look at the amount of dust and dirt on the floor, and look at the 'black soles'.

So the short cut is to vacuum. ;-) I take an hour to mop the floor and just half an hour to vacuum, so it is still a short cut. At least the dust and dirt are gone. And as for mopping.... when I feel energetic (and enough time)to do so ;-p

So much so for being the clean freak, compared to JY. But laziness still win the battle. And no.... no more thoughts of being a full time housewife. Imagine 16 hours of cooping within the 4 walls and thinking of housework ALL the time. Think I will go mad first.

And no home cook lunch for JY for the past 2 days, as I was too lazy to cook a 'decent' dinner. So no leftovers for lunch. Feeling a bit guilty as there is not much variety of vegetarian food near his workplace. So he has been eating unheatlhy, oily, boring and loveless lunch for the past 2 days. My poor JY!!!! On second thoughts, I shouldn't spolit him, if not, must lower his expectation ;-p

Counting down to my Bangkok Trip

Well, that's the only exciting thing happening to me now. After serval weeks of IDD and e-mailing, my sister-in-law finally confirm when she is meeting us there. And yes, JY and I are going to Bangkok for our 1st year wedding anniversary :-)

How prices have inflated over the years, it used to cost less than SGD 50 to get a decent hotel there, now it cost around SGD 100 to get a 4 star hotel.

And then to agree on the trip, think we are going to spend another bomb on the IDD phone calls again.....

Jus for update - my stomach is still flat :-)

Babies

Why is it that married couples MUST have a baby FAST???? Every single one of the people (friends, relatives and including aqunatines I just know) also ask, When u having a baby? So is having a baby really a part of married life?

Excuses like, 'it's easier to give birth young', 'next year is a good year to have babies for your horoscope', 'jus give birth to one first, then decide'.....

Even the government is hurrying people to have MORE babies, but did they factor in the cost. When I mean cost, it is not only the cold hard cash, also opportunity cost. (My JC Econos teacher must be proud of me, cause I still remember :-p) The opportunity cost of employability of mothers. Maybe it is sexist, maybe it is the preception of the soceity, but females, especially married females with kids, will find it more diffcult to have new jobs.

So the next time u see me, don't ask me when I am having kids, cause when I have it, the stomach will show. Until then, DON'T ASK!!!!!!

A very busy weekend, with little time to do housework and for my darling.

Fri - met up with Pauline, MH, Bao and Bay for dinner. I was late, because of work, and well, gossiping and discussing the upcoming excitement. And well, glad to see that everyone having a direction in their life. And for once, it is a all girls' outing... No 'XY' following along...

Sat - Went back to work in the end, cause of some @@$%^*&^$%$#@@#$%^^ last minute urgent leave, and well, just went back for 3 hours, but still, what a start for my weekend. At least lunch and dinner were good. JY took me out for both meals :-) No need to cook .... And then off we go to watch the last fireworks, the french team. Very nice, but as we were a bit late, didn't manage to capture a good video. What a pity.

Sun - Went out shopping with Mummy and Daddy and Brother. Well, felt like clock has turned back to 15 years ago, going out as a whole family, shopping and dinning, and of course, eating durian. Yummy! The only 2 differences are that Brother is the one driving and I am the one picking the tab. Well, all is worth it, as it has been a nice day. A pity JY is busy with work, and he couldn't join us.

So overall, my weekend isn't that bad. And it has been a nice break from housework :-p

Fireworks

JY and me went to watch the fireworks at Marina Bay on 5 Aug. Wow! It was majestic! We also went for the one on 8 Aug, and we recorded both.

In a way, fireworks is like life. Every fireworks have to go through months of preparation, testing, planning and brain storming, before it can be presented. It is just like life, everyone went through schooling, traning and experiences in life. And the most beautiful part of fireworks only lasted 15 mins. Some of the fireworks, never get lighted, due to some factors. It is similar to some people who reached the peak of their life and some don't. For those who did, the glory and success is only momentarily. Cause life will have to end for all people.

Fireworks is really beautiful and romatic, especially watch with the love of your life, but who knows the hard work behind this? And after a few months, will anyone remember the fireworks?

No matter how glorious, how glamourous, how successful a person is, once it is over, all is back to mother nature and the past is just memories. And who will remember the person? Families? Relatives? Or friends?

Well, just realised I didn't blog for the whole month of July.... Phew!!! Guess housework and work really tires u down.... :-p Okie, no more execuses.... Well, it has been a lazy month, where I cook, eat, wash and watch more TV... The only thing is Baby Cass learnt how to hug people and kiss me goodbye....

Well, it is a long time since the whole extended family have a family outing. All 24 of us (not full strength yet), going for a meal of dim sum. Imagine, squeezing 12 people per table. But it was fun. It is just like the clock has turned back, and back to the younger days.

Well, one difference though, now we have to pay. The elders just eat, the junoirs just order, and we the young adults pick the tab.

But it is worth it. :-)

And my neice, she is so smart. She knows that everytime, mum and dad brings her to the hospital, where I worked, I will appear. So last week, when mum and dad brought her there. The moment she recognised that it the place I worked, she shouted for me everywhere she goes. A pity I was busy that day, couldn't meet them.

And work is still ....... with a new AM, hopefully life will get better.

Great Singapore Sale

yooooo hoooooooo..... Went shopping yesterday! Actually not reallly shopping, just browsing around, and didn't really buy much. The big buyer is Rabbit.... I finally have some time to shop around during the 1st few days of the GSS. Every year, it is also last minute shopping spree during the last week of GSS. Now at least more sizes and variety for me to choose....:-)

And I have to confess, I am not helping with Rabbit's diet. Cause I ate ice cream with her yesterday, and not ordinary ice cream, but Ben & Jerry!!! Yum Yum...

And we even got time to drop by the world book fair, where there is a man with a python. Didn't buy anything from the book fair, as I couldn't find the books I want.

Now I am typing this blog using my 29 inch TV, cause my study room PC is donw, don't know why? Hopefully JY can find out the reason, if not all my data will be gone :-(

Anyway, feel very productive today, cleaned the whole house and wash all the clothings all in the morning :-) Okie, this sounded a bit auntie. I am going to catch my show now.

Wonder how the things in office got twisted.... Now I still can't believe it. That woman left!!!!! It is considered a 'promotion' for her, but she has quitted and moved on.... Funny how things turn out to be, got promoted less than a year and then walked out of the workplace totally.

A twist of life, I guess. Or should I said that it is sunshine after the rain? :-) Whatever it is, I am very happy!!!!! At least now only got the incompetent manager to manage with..... :-p

And oh yes, watched the movie, Over the Hedge, on Saturday. Very funny and relaxing movie. Had such a great laugh, which is so destressing.

*Yawn* Going to sleep now, cause a bit tired from the swimming this morning. Well, got to stay in shape.

John Little Sales ....

Ho Ho Ho... It is not Christmas yet, but yesterday, John Little had a preview sales... Oh don't worry JY, I was accompanying our dear Rabbit for a shopping spree... :-p Though I did bought a few items. The bedsheets were soooooooooo cute and the pooh bag, I think it will be a nice gift for Shuhui's baby in this coming October. Well, it is still early, but no harm starting right?

Well, guess that's me. Finding reason to shop... Who needs a reason? It is on sales! And Great Singapore Sale is coming..... Must clear away the old stuff to make space for new ones. But hey, what do I NEED to buy????

Eversince we bought the place, we have 3 cupboards for clothes, and one store-room (aka bomb shelther) for the miscellanous stuff. And for kitchen electronics applicances, we have one bbq plate cum steamboat, sandwich maker, waffle maker, noodle maker, soya bean maker, 3-in-1 blender, slow cooker and electric mixer.

And I am still eyeing at the vacuum magic cooker, well, it works like this, all you have to do is to boil the soup, and put it in the vacuum cooker, then when u come back from work, the soup will be just nice and warm. No electricity and no gas needed. See can save a lot of $$$ in the long run, since I love to cook soup. But JY say NO! We do not NEED another kitchen applicances. Well, true, taking stock, seems like I hardly use most of them, at most once a month.

To make myself feel better, today I woke up earlier to make soya bean drink. (See, I am using the kitchen applicance). To reduce wastage, I even cooked soya bean congee for lunch :-) Innovative right?

Well, seems like there is nothing much for me to buy in the comming Sales, so don't ask me out for the GSS okie? Well, even if you do, remind me not to buy anything, cause I don't need to buy anything more for the home. But for the vacuum magic cooker, perhaps I will seriously consider buying it. It is savings in the long term, right?

Meeting Ends

Things happened in office and looking at friends around me, sometimes can't help but feel a bit depressed with the situation. Perhaps I am not 'cruel' enough or perhaps I am not 'unfeeling' or 'cunning' enough. Sometimes, really feel like giving the two b***** a good tight slap and ask them to shut up and mind their own business. Or leave me alone.

Woking is it really a necessasity?

Now I am just sitting back and enjoying my long weekend. Not bothering to think about all this. Jus emptying my mind and enjoy my weekends.

Well, it is a nice day to go picnic on sat, the sky is sooooo clear, with a nice 'dragon-shaped' cloud, according to JY.

Helloooooo.... Not that JY and I are missing in action, but really very busy with work. It conincides with JY's company function, got plenty of talks and seminars to go to, so often work late. As for me, well, still busy managing the stupid b****** in the office. Pardon my language, but I have never ever seen or heard of management staff bully clerical staff to top up $$$ when they are earning much much more......

*sigh* Hope all goes well for all of u.... It is happy long weekend for all of us :-)

Trip to Desaru

Well, the boat is our transport. So funny, it is about 30mins ride from Changi Jetty, and the customs there got opening hours. Being in the city and with the 24/7 services, make me wonder how can they afford to have opening hours???? Or perhaps the traffic is reducing...

The resort is okie, with little crowd. :-) And I realised that there is no chinese working in the resort. Mostly Malays and Indians. Well, at least I have my fair share of curry and will not be having curry for the rest of the week.

Monday, I was on leave, to enjoy a long weekend to myself.
Tuesday - Worked :-(
Wednesday - Company's big day, so spent half a day after lunch favouring the goodies and enjoy the pampers. Hope I didn't put on weight :-p
Thursday - Boss on leave, so a bit relaxing.....
Friday - Boss still on leave, so a nice lunch at Orchard :-)
Saturday - Home bound day :-) To spend time with JY.
Sunday - Going to be home-bound day too. To spend time with mummy.

Went for a church wedding on Sat, and guess who I met? Ah Hui ah..... It slipped my mind that she is working in the same company as the groom and the bride.

Like the flower girls' head accessories, so cute....

The pastor quote a sentence from a poem that goes like: "Marriage is a long conversation, which seems so short." Which is so sweet, but guess what JY interpret as? Nagging!

And the highlight of the day: Photo taking!

The wedding dinner was held at club chinos, which was great! The ambience and food are great. Except that I was worried that the bubbles might get into my drinks.

Well, at least I am not the only one who hopped.... Our dear rabbit is hopping too, just that she quit before settling a job.

And for all, glad that I made it in time for supper. At least did catch up with the gals. The only negative point is that I misssed the last bus home, so I took another bus and dropped 2 MRT away from home. In total, I took an hour to get home, half an hour of bus ride and half an hour of walking. ^o^ At least I burnt away the supper.

This whole week have been so busy working, that didn't get to update my blog and do housework. The house is so dirty..... Must start cleaning up.

New camera and new addition to family

Wala.... I have a new camera... hehehehee Going to give my not-so-new camera to daddy, since he wants a digital camera. This time the camera also came free, but not the card. My darling, JY, is so sweet. He went to bid the card for me at ebay, and we got the card at half the price, which I would have to pay if I buy it here. Wow.... Singapore is getting more and more like Japan. Everything also expensive.

Yes, we have a new addition to the family. And NO, I am not pregnant. My cousin just got married yesterday! And guess where is the wedding dinner held? At Teochew Restaurant, the same one as where SH held her wedding. :-)

Oh ya, congras to rabbit! For finally hopping away from her job. Good luck to you girl!

With the arrival of March, it will mean that 1st quarter of the year is coming to an end and it will mean that end of financial year, and time to pay income tax.

Seems like the budget talk is good, like the fact that as long as you are employed, there will be employment bouns.

A bit bored, as I have been staying home, cause of my gastric. Have been eating porridge for one whole week. Don't think I will have strength to even lift my handbag. But I am NOT losing weight.

A silver lining to my plight, is that I managed to catch up all the readings in terms of newspaper, magazines and of course story books.

Divorce Rate Going UP!!!

Saw this heading in the ST today, and was interesting to note the reasons why couples spilt. Seems like time is a factor. Maybe marriage is really a equation, porbability of divorce is inveresly porportional to the length of days of courtship. The longer the courtship days, the lower the rate of divorce.

Chance upon an article regarding one spouse is veg and the other is not, , seems like only relevant to me. But it did link to the article. If it is not handle properly, maybe it will be one of the reason adding to divorce.

As technology move on, people also move on, more and more reasons for divorce.

Don't worry, JY and I are okie. Jus want to comment sth on this topic, since I chanced upon two articles in the same day.

Getting Forgetful

Oh no, is it me or is it the stress? Getting more and more forgetful. I can even forget to bring home keys out. Then I waited for Dar till 8pm to get home to open the door for me. How I wish then, I could stay just a stone throw away from mummy.

It is mid of feb now. Valentine's day has past, the next holiday is actually around 40 days away, in April :-(

I had a wishful thought today, will singapore have heavy snow, till it is not safe to go to work? I guess it is monday blues.

End of CNY

CNY gone!!! :-( Well, nothing much to missed, except my television programmes. I have no time for myself, throughout the 15 days, other than welcoming friends to my place, going to relatives' and friends' places, and work of course, I didn't even have time to sit down and enjoy the show.

How glad that CNY is over. Now I can really start to put away the decorations and start feasting on the snacks. Not that I want to eat them, but they will spoilt if I do not finish them before the expiry date. :-)

Well, that will mean more exercise too. Okie. Time to get my butt off the sofa and go exercising. Well, start next week lah, this week need to clean the house :-p

Mid CNY

Chinese New Year comes and by now, it is the mid-week. Yesterday was ren-ri, which means everybody's birthday. JY and I have invited his colleagues to our place for a yu-sheng lunch. And a chance to try out new buy, swiss cheese foundue.

Bascially, all the local (especially the chinese) colleagues couldn't make it, as they have their own plans. So it was a lunch for the non-chinese and foreigners. And for most, it is their 1st time having yu-sheng and celebrating CNY. Quite a fun and enjoyable lunch. And not to mention the cheese foundue, it is nice, but the alcohol content is too strong, not to my liking. Well, at least this is the 1st time, I did all the cooking for the gathering, with little help from JY. :-)

In the evening, went to Aunt Evelyn place for another yu-sheng. We got a bit lost in pasir ris, as the bus route are so confusing. Well, we just made it in time for the last toss of yu-sheng for the day. We had 2 yu-sheng, one for the adults, and one for the younger generation, that's us :-)

After the toss and merry, we proceed to Nora's place for a traditional 'hakka lei cha' (vegetarian ones of course), prepared by Mum. Yummy. Wonder why mummy don't like it. Heard that it will help to cleanse the digestive system. Just in time, after one whole day of stuffing.

Lunar New Year at Chalet

Spent the 1st day of CNY at relatives' place then went to Chalet after that a day out at Wild Wild Wet, and what follows it was a two days MC :-( But it is a good start. Heard good news that one of my colleague (one who is on better terms with me) is getting married :-) Must start saving up already.
