Last day of Sep - Farewell Day

Don't know whether it is coincidence or what, but today there is actually 2 people leaving the workplace. One is mine colleague and the other is JY's colleague.

Funny to have 2 farewell party in a day, lunch time for my colleague and dinner time for JY's colleague. My colleague is migrating to Australia, for the better of his career and for his children too; JY's colleague is moving on to a higher pay job and also better prospect.

Thinking back, my change of job, doesn't offer higher pay, and neither did it offer better prospect. One thing it did offer is MORE office politics and MORE problematic staff. It is a challenge, really, to tackle 3Ds, Diffcult customers' Diffcult colleagues & Diffcult staff. It is a wonder I still find time to work.

Life is a path, I have chosen this rocky path, cause once I have walked past it (and survived it of course), all other paths will be more smooth-riding. And at the end of the path, I will be able to see things differently.

May the dharma be with me and my love ones and give us faith and strenght to go through any rocky path.

Last day of Leave

Today is the last day of freedom. Tommorrow got to WORK!!!! Hmmm, so sianz..... Woke up early in the morning to do the laundry. :( No more mummy to do the washing. Marriage life is tough, but interesting. Imagine two different person, with different upbringing, different nationalities come together, gone through friendship and courtship before staying together. Pretty interesting concept?

Well, time to cook lunch! JY's stomach is growling!

Finally OVER!!!!!!!

Hooray... The wedding dinner is finally over!!!! Well, the 1st part of the day was very smooth but the a lot of hippups in the wedding dinner. But at least everything still went on smoothly, at least that's what I think.... Looking forward to marriage life, at least the end of wedding dinner means that less conflict with the elders and also less complying things to do to please them.

Need to rgain my beauty sleep. To the one at Shanghai, hopefully u are enjoying yourself? Work hard and play hard! Will try to make MH organise a trip to Shanghai to visit u :)

3 more days

3 more days to my wedding :) I have to update the blog today because tomorrow I am going to shift my stuff over, including this laptop of course. Well, according to Chinese tradition, we aren't supposed to see each other the day before my wedding. But well, reality sets in, there is really no other better days to shift.

I have managed to bargained for 3 days of leave after my wedding, if not, oh no... how to enjoy my wedding when I have to worry about work the next day?

That's all for now, got to go back to packing.

Guo Da Li

Very tiring morning. Woke up at 7am so as to pay respects to the ancestors before the traditional Chinese custom, Guo Da Li, where JY and his parents will come over to 'notify' my family and me that they are going to come and pick the bride up on which day. This is the most simplified version of meaning I can find :p

It is actually a very busy and tiring thing, cause my whole family came over for the occassion and also to take their invitation cards (saved me the trouble of going to one place and another). And also easier to distribute the wedding biscults which JY brought.

Perhaps it is a very tiring and busy day, not much appetite for the day. Jus a small flaw on today, JY went to picked up the 2nd photo album as it wasn't ready yesterday. While flipping through, I realised that there was a page where the edge was not well sticked. So I went back to the Bridal Shop, after all my relatives left, and told them to amend within a week. I know I am being picky but if I don't go back to make them amend it, I know I won't be able to sleep.

Anyway, arraging an wedding dinner with so many different inputs really make the going diffcult, but it is okie. Only 7 days to the wedding dinner. Really can't wait for the day to come. Not anxious at all, jus want to get it over and done with. It is really a hassle.

Hen's Party

Today is actually a normal working saturday, except that I am collecting the photos in the afternoon and meeting my gal friends for a night out.

The photos turned out really well :) maybe because I am photogenic :p Really happy that I took the photos home and wasted no time in showing to my family members. Even asked the dear teacher to stop marking and come over to take a look :p

Well, the excitement was in the evening. The 5 of us went to a nice japanese restaurant and enjoyed a meal of 60% sake sashimi. Yummy! Before that I was given a nice hair make over with a pretty tiara on top of it. I walked into the restaurant with a tiara on my head and a bouquet of lily. We had a great time eating, talking about old times and about guys and sex life (with contributions from the only married gal). Oh boy, how times files, and we proceed to my place to drink Champane and look at my wedding photos :)

At the end of the day, it was very tiring but felt very happy. Thank you gals, for making time to spend such a memorable time together.

Rabbit, when can I see the photos? Remember to e-mail to me so I can try to upload :)

Tired but happy and touched

Am I ready?

This question has been popping up from my mind, as I recevied countless e-mails and sms-es from concern family members and friends. It has reached till a point, where I am begining to doubt, am I really ready for my wedding day?

Less than 2 weeks to go, and oh my, look at the last minute request/changes from the elders. Well, it is once in a lifetime, just make do with any requests/changes, and it will be over in less than 12 days :)

I am designing my website for my wedding photos :), but the photos not ready yet, so I am just doing the layout :p

To my friends out there, ready to sabo my darling? And please get ready to enjoy the day/night with me :)

Countdown: 2 weeks before my wedding :)

Really very excited.... It is really a different phase. One year ago, I went through very very excited, to numb then to excited again.... Hmmmm...... like having PMS. It is exactly 2 weeks before my wedding. I will pack my feelings on the actual day and just enjoy myself as a pretty bride :)

Mooncake festival coming too... Hopefully won't put too much weight eating mooncakes.
